On January 8, 1984, The Country Store—Sunnyvale tavern that had been featuring comedy on the weekends for the prior five years—reopened as Rooster T. Feathers, a full-time comedy club. Stars of today such as Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen DeGeneres, Amy Schumer, Dana Carvey, and Kevin Pollak have entertained thousands of Rooster's crowds. Today, Roosters is the host to national comics as seen on The Late Show, The Tonight Show, HBO, Showtime and Comedy Central. Not a cavernous hall or stuffy theater, Roosters offers an intimate setting where you can enjoy the funniest entertainers, live and up close, the way stand-up comedy was intended. This historic landmark was Sunnyvale's original bus stop and back in the early 1970s was the location of the beta test of the first video game, Pong. Rooster's showroom is always available for private parties, corporate events and daytime rentals in addition to our nightly shows. Personalized catering is also available for parties of 35 or more. If you have pre-purchased tickets, there is no need to make a reservation, your tickets are your reservation. So there is no need to make a reservation unless...
you are a group that has pre-purchased tickets separately and want sit together, make a reservation using our reservation page and in the "special instructions" field enter the names of all ticket buyers and total group size. This just ensures your group will sit together. Your group seating reservation will be held until 15 minutes prior to showtime, after that time, unclaimed group reservations will be released. You still have your pre-purchased tickets, and seats for the show, we just can’t guarantee you will all sit together after that time.
If you don’t want to pre-purchase tickets we recommend making a General Reservation through our reservation page.
You can make a reservation using our reservation page and choose “no ticket/ general reservation” as the booking option. This general reservation, reserves your seats and intent to buy tickets at the door up until 15 minutes prior to showtime. After that time, unclaimed general reservations will be released.

Roosters has no dress code per se...and although you'll be comfortable in casual, you'll see a little of everything on any given evening. Some people are coming directly from work and are dressed in business attire, some are comfortable and casual, and some people come dressed to the nines! So come as you like but please wear shoes!
We are in the business of providing a good time, but remember we have the 'good time' of a lot of people to look in on...so all guests are reminded to keep all unnecessary table conversation to a minimum...and heckling, quite frankly is a no-no. Everyone has paid good money to see a comedian, not you...Mr. Shouting at the Stage or you, Ms. Had Too Much to Drink at Dinner...So please...eat, drink, be merry and LAUGH! But if you're a complete bonehead, you will be tossed!
Everyone must be 21 or older with a valid ID. A valid ID, according to California Liquor Code is defined as a state-issued driver's license or ID, a military ID, or a passport. No other forms of identification will be accepted.
