Our History

This historic landmark building has a deep history and had many iterations before becoming a comedy club, including being Sunnyvale's original bus stop, Andy Capp’s Tavern (The location of the beta test of Atari’s first video game, Pong) and then The Country Store, a favorite Sunnyvale tavern.

Then on January 8, 1984, The Country Store, which had been selling out comedy shows on off nights during the week for the prior five years—reopened as Rooster T. Feathers, a full-time comedy club. Today, Roosters is the host to national comics as seen on Netflix, The Late Show, The Tonight Show, HBO, Comedy Central and more! Stars of today such as Ali Wong, Anthony Jeselnik, Hasan Minhaj, Amy Schumer, Ms. Pat, Mark Normand, Michelle Wolf and Fortune Feimster (Yeah, we're name dropping!) have entertained thousands of Rooster's crowds. Not a cavernous hall or stuffy theater, Roosters offers an intimate setting where you can enjoy the funniest entertainers, live and up close, the way stand-up comedy was intended, right in the heart of Silicon Valley.


Ticket Policies

WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

  • All of our shows are 21+. ALL guests must have a valid ID to enter the building.
  • A two-item minimum purchase per person is required in the showroom. Food and drink items count towards the minimum.
  • Loud talking and/or heckling of the performers is extremely disruptive to the show and impacts your fellow guests’ experience. In order to create a welcoming environment for all guests, customers who cannot comply will be removed from the venue and will not be issued a refund of their ticket purchase.
  • Your email confirmation serves as your purchase confirmation. If you do not receive an email confirmation, you order is NOT confirmed.
  • Late arrivals are not guaranteed seats and are not entitled to a refund.
  • All seating is first come, first served. You will be seated by one of our hosts.
  • Guests who are visibly intoxicated will not be permitted to enter.
  • In order for you party to be seated, you must go into the showroom as a group. We will only seat complete groups.
  • All show lineups are subject to change. (In this Covid era, our lineups can and may change at the last minute, as needed.)
  • For those guests who may need extra assistance in seating or space for a wheelchair, we kindly ask that you call the club and leave a message letting us know, along with your name and the show you are attending. 408.736.0921 That way we can be sure to reserve the table with the best access for you.
REMINDER
  • Any guest unable to present valid identification will not be admitted to the event and will not be eligible for a refund.
  • No firearms are allowed on the premises.
  • All prices, performers, and showtimes are subject to change. In the event that a show is canceled or rescheduled, Rooster T. Feathers will contact you via email and/or text, and it is the ticketholder's responsibility to respond accordingly in regard to the presented options. Groups & Reservations

WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY RESERVATIONS FOR GROUPS
If you have a large group and are wanting to sit together for the show, we recommend buying all the tickets in advance, and arriving early (45 min to 1 hour before the show) to have your best chance of sitting together as a group. If you arrive late, we will do our best to seat you as close as possible, but THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES.

Sundays are Military / Veteran's Appreciation Night

Bring your Military ID to the club on a Sunday night and get in for FREE* (*2 item minimum still applies / 21+ only) . Not valid for special event shows / SUBJECT TO TICKET AVAILABILITY. Special Events

We do not accept passes, coupons or Groupons for Special Events. Special Event status will be noted on the event information page, on our calendars in the club, and on our outgoing phone message the week of the show.


Dress Code

Roosters has no dress code per se...and although you'll be comfortable in casual, you'll see a little of everything on any given evening. Some people are coming directly from work and are dressed in business attire, some are comfortable and casual, and some people come dressed to the nines! So come as you like but please wear shoes!


Manners, Hecklers & Obnoxious Behavior

We are in the business of providing a good time, but remember we have the 'good time' of a lot of people to look in on...so all guests are reminded to keep all unnecessary table conversation to a minimum...and heckling is a no-no. Everyone has paid good money to see a comedian, not you...Mr. Shouting at the Stage or you, Ms. Had Too Much to Drink at Dinner...So please...eat, drink, be merry and LAUGH! But if you're a complete bonehead, you will be tossed!

Legality


Everyone must be 21 or older with a valid ID. A valid ID, according to California Liquor Code is defined as a state-issued driver's license or ID, a military ID, or a passport. No other forms of identification will be accepted.

Food & Drink

Roosters has a full service bar loaded with premium and top shelf liquors, many different beers and a list of popular California wines. We also have a wide variety of non-alcoholic options. Food choices include hotdogs, popcorn, chips and salsa, nachos (plain or grilled chicken), hummus and carrots plate, and the dessert du jour. In keeping with the California Health Code, we do not allow outside food or drink to be brought into the club. If you would like to bring a cake in to complement your celebration, it is allowed only if prepared in a commercial kitchen, and Roosters will charge a plating fee of $1.50 per person. (Plating fee does not count toward required item minimum.)

A two-item minimum purchase per person applies. Any food or drink menu option counts as one item, with the exception of full bottles of wine (or corkage) which count as four total items.
